July - August 2007

The rain in July was torrential at times and gave us a private lake in the middle of our future sanctuary.

Preaching from the shore of Lake FBC.

Drilling deep holes for the piers.

Drilling and filling the piers - they are the anchors for the steel structure.

Gotta have water!  In the pipes that is!

Lake FBC is gone and they're getting ready for the slab.

We'll get pictures of the slab up soon!  It's very exciting to watch the progress.

This new Worship Center is being built on the open acreage to the north of our current

Worship Center.   The construction of this building, connection to the present

building and any remodeling that is needed will be completed in phases.

There are also some Friends of the Church who give.

Ground Breaking was March 26, 2006

             On Sunday, March 26, 2006, First Baptist Church of Pflugerville broke ground on their new worship facility.  Over 600 were in attendance.

              The footprint of the new facility was painted on the grass where it is to be built.  Following morning worship services, the entire congregation sat in lawn chairs and on blankets inside the footprint and ate box lunches.  A flat bed trailer used by the speakers and musicians was parked on the spot where the pulpit will be.  After a joyful time of music, introduction of guests, and a brief history of how God has led them to this construction project, all church members, young and old, carried shovels to the perimeter of the imaginary facility.  Following a charge of commitment from the pastor, every member of the church participated in the ground breaking, digging a shallow trench around the entire outline.  Balloons were released and a thunderous cheer praising God echoed throughout the community.
